A vast majority of the material in this EP was recorded in a time period in my life where I didn't think I was ever going to be the same again. Too much was changing, yet too much stayed the same; moments in my life I'd much rather forget constantly stayed at the forefront of my mind and those that I wished to reminisce upon always eluded me. Every attempt I'd made at salvaging what I thought I knew of my previous self was in vain; there was nothing else to believe but that my mistakes had dictated my future, and that I'd be stuck in this pit of agony for the rest of my life with nobody else to turn to. I felt like I'd lost everything, everyone around me moving forward at their own paces while I was left behind to rot.

There was no single moment where these feelings dissipated; there was nothing to be found that could "fix" me. Like a ringing in the ear the thoughts come back every once in a while, and they immobilize me for a beat or two, and I do what I can to move on from them. I found that life goes on, and there is never any way to know where it'll take me if I don't at least try to live it. I don't consider life predestined; I consider it an experience that can only be missed out on if you spend too long looking at the past.

Some things were lost. Others were found. And the single greatest thing I've found is that there's so many more things to find. Live in the present; after all, it's all any of us can really do, isn't it?
